''Guardiola'' is a genus of plants in the family Asteraceae, native to Mexico and the southwestern United States. Members of the genus are subshrubs with simple, opposite leaves and terminal inflorescences. Guardiola de Berguedà is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Berguedà in Catalonia. It is situated at the confluence of the Bastareny and Llobregat rivers in the north of the ''comarca''. Bassella
Bassella is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Alt Urgell, in Catalonia, Spain. The village of Bassella, one of nine settlement which make up the municipality, is located at the confluence of the Segre river with the Salada river and at the point where the route from Solsona and the potash mines of Cardona (currently the L-301 road) meets the route between Lleida and La Seu d'Urgell (currently the C-1313 road). The ''ajuntament'' (town hall) is located in Castellnou de Bassella. The municipality extends to both sides of the Segre river at the southern extremity of the Alt Urgell. Much of the territory has been flooded by the construction of the Rialb reservoir. It includes the southern exclave of Sant Mer within Pinell de Solsonès. José Guardiola
José Guardiola Díaz de Rada, (22 October 1930 – 9 April 2012) was a Spanish singer of popular music who sang in Spanish and Catalan. Guardiola was born in Barcelona. He performed and recorded mostly Spanish versions of foreign songs and reached his maximum fame in Spain and Latin America in the early 1960s with versions of songs like "Sixteen Tons", "Mack the Knife" and "Ya Mustafa". He was known as ''the Spanish Crooner'' due to his style and the types of songs he sang. He represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 1963, placing 12th. At that time he also sang a few songs with his infant daughter. He retired in 2008. José Santos Guardiola Bustillo (1 November 1816 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras – 11 January 1862 in Comayagua, Honduras) was a two-term President of Honduras from 17 February 1856 to 7 February 1860 and from 7 February 1860 to his death on 11 January 1862, when he became the only President of Honduras to be assassinated while in office in a crime committed by his personal guard.
