Guangzhou International Convention Exhibition Center
The Canton Fair Complex (), formerly known as Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center (), is located on Pazhou Island in the Guangzhou (Canton City) in the People's Republic of China. It is possibly the largest convention center in the world at , and also contains the world's largest exhibition hall at . Interwine is held here. Xingangdong Station
Xingangdong () is a metro station, station on Line 8 of the Guangzhou Metro that became operational on 28June 2003. It is located at the underground of Xingang Road East in the Haizhu District of Guangzhou. The station is close to the Guangzhou International Convention Exhibition Center, the main venue for the Canton Fair. Before the extension to both lines 2 and 8 opened in September 2010, this station ran as part of Line 2, Guangzhou Metro, Line 2 as a single line from Wanshengwei Station, Wanshengwei to Sanyuanli Station, Sanyuanli. The Canton Fair or China Import and Export Fair, is a trade fair held in the spring and autumn seasons each year since the spring of 1957 in Canton (Guangzhou), Guangdong, China. It is the oldest, largest, and the most representative trade fair in China. Its full name since 2007 has been China Import and Export Fair (), renamed from Chinese Export Commodities Fair (). Pazhou Island
Pazhou is a subdistrict of Haizhu in southeastern Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, in China. , formerly Whampoa Island, has a total area of and is the site of Pazhou Pagoda. Its eastern bay was formerly the chief anchorage for ships participating in Guangzhou's foreign trade. Traders from the "Southern Sea", including Indians, Arabians, and most Europeans, were required to keep their ships at Pazhou while smaller craft ferried goods to and from the Thirteen Factories area of Guangzhou's western suburbs.
