Gréta Mayer
Gréta Mayer (born 26 September 2006) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast. She is a three-time European junior medalist. Early life Gréta Mayer was born in Dunaújváros, Hungary on 26 September 2006. Gymnastics career Espoir: 2017–19 Mayer competed at the 2017 Tournoi International where she placed third in the all-around behind Italians Angela Andreoli and Giulia Messali. She next competed at the Hungarian Master Championships where she placed seventh in the all-around, third on balance beam, and fourth on floor exercise. In May 2018 Mayer competed at the Elek Matolay Memorial where she placed first in the espoir all-around and on vault, uneven bars, and balance beam. She placed sixth on floor exercise. In June she competed at Gym Festival Trnava where she placed second in the all-around behind Dagmara Pyzio of Poland. Dunaújváros
Dunaújváros (; also known by other alternative names) is an industrial city in Fejér County, Central Hungary. It is a city with county rights. Situated 70 kilometres (43 miles) south of Budapest on the Danube, the city is best known for its steelworks, which is the largest in the country. Gymnastics Floor
In gymnastics, the floor is a specially prepared exercise surface, which is considered an apparatus. It is used by both male and female gymnasts. The gymnastics event performed on the floor is called floor exercise. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is FX. A spring floor is used in all of gymnastics to provide more bounce, and also help prevent potential injuries to lower extremity joints of gymnasts due to the nature of the apparatus, which includes the repeated pounding required to train it. Gymnastics Balance Beam
The balance beam is a rectangular artistic gymnastics apparatus and an event performed using the apparatus. Both the apparatus and the event are sometimes simply referred to as "beam". The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is BB. The beam is a small, thin beam which is typically raised from the floor on a leg or stand at both ends. The uneven bars or asymmetric bars is an artistic gymnastics apparatus. It is made of a steel frame. The bars are made of fiberglass with wood coating, or less commonly wood. The vault is an artistic gymnastics apparatus which gymnasts perform on, as well as the skill performed using that apparatus. Vaulting is also the action of performing a vault. Both male and female gymnasts perform the vault. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is VT. 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Liverpool, United Kingdom at the Liverpool Arena, from 29 October to 6 November 2022. The United Kingdom previously hosted this event in 1993 (Birmingham), 2009 (London) and 2015 (Glasgow). The championships is a qualification event for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Mirtill Makovits (born 30 March 2004) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast. She won a bronze medal at the 2020 European Championships with the Hungarian team. Career Junior Makovits finished 5th in the all-around and 4th on the uneven bars at the 2018 Olympic Hopes Cup in Liberec, Czech Republic. She competed at the 2019 Elek Matolay Memorial where she won the gold medal in the all-around and on the uneven bars, as well as a silver medal on the balance beam. She won the silver medal on the floor exercise behind Lisa Vaelen at the International GymSport in Porto, Portugal. Csenge Mária Bácskay (born 4 April 2003) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast and the 2018 Youth Olympic silver medalist on vault. Additionally she was a member of the team who won bronze at the 2020 European Championships. Early life Csenge Bácskay was born in Budapest, Hungary on 4 April 2003 to Zsolt Bácskay and Barbara Bácskayné Abonyi. She has two younger siblings. Zója Székely (born 5 May 2003) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 European silver medalist on the uneven bars and bronze medalist with the team.
