Gréta Kerekes
Gréta Kerekes (born 9 October 1992 in Debrecen) is a Hungarian athlete specialising in the sprint hurdles. She represented her country at the 2016 World Indoor Championships without qualifying for the final. Her personal bests are 12.95 seconds in the 100 metres hurdles (+1.9 m/s, Székesfehérvár 2018) and 8.00 seconds in the 60 metres hurdles 60 metres hurdles is a distance in hurdling which is generally run in indoor competitions. The athletics competition at the 2009 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival was held from 20 to 24 July. The events took place at the Tampere Stadium in Tampere, Finland. Boys and girls born 1992 or 1993 or later participated 36 track and field events, divided evenly between the sexes. The event was held shortly after the 2009 World Youth Championships in Athletics. 2016 European Athletics Championships
The 2016 European Athletics Championships was held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, between 6 and 10 July 2016. It was the first time the Netherlands hosted the event. Due to 2016 being an Olympic year, there was no racewalking and the marathon competition was replaced by half marathon. The Russian team did not participate due to the suspension of the All-Russia Athletic Federation by the International Association of Athletics Federations. However, Yuliya Stepanova was individually cleared by the IAAF to compete as an independent athlete; she participated in the European championships under the flag of the European Athletic Association. 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships – Women's 60 Metres Hurdles
The women's 60 metres hurdles at the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships took place on March 18, 2016. In the final, Angela Whyte had the best start, while Kendra Harrison led the American pack in the center of the track. While Harrison was the first to the first hurdle, she hit it flat with her shoe, losing her balance and all momentum. She was unable to clear the second hurdle in stride and was out of contention. To her left Brianna Rollins was clean over the first hurdles while on her right Nia Ali hit the first and was half a meter behind. Rollins' speed between the hurdles easily passed Whyte, while Ali gained a little ground aggressively snapping over each hurdle. Coming off the last hurdle, Rollins lead was only inches, but Ali was able to make up just enough ground to out lean Rollins at the finish.
