''Gränslots'' ( Border Guide) is a Swedish drama film from 1990 directed by Lars-Göran Pettersson. The film was Pettersson's debut as a director, and he also write the screenplay. The film was edited into a TV series and broadcast on SVT2 in 1993. In addition to Swedish actors, the cast includes many Norwegian actors. Plot The Swede Henry Eriksson helps his friends and relatives on the other side of the Norwegian border during World War II. He also helps refugees. Sigrid Huun (born July 25, 1952) is a Norwegian actress. She made her film debut in '' Himmel og helvete'' in 1969. Bjørn Sundquist
Bjørn Richard Sundquist (born 16 June 1948) is a Norwegian actor, famous for TV, theatre, and movie roles. For many years he worked at Det Norske Teatret and Nationaltheateret in Oslo. Sundquist is especially famous for the roles as Merlin and Hamlet. When he received the Honorary Amanda Award (Norway's answer to Oscar) in 2000, he became the youngest ever recipient of the greatest honor in Norwegian film. He was 52 at the time and only a few months younger than Liv Ullmann, who received the honorary award in 1992. He is of Sami heritage on his mother's side (a minority originating mainly from the northern parts of the Scandinavian peninsula often referred to as Sápmi). A border guide (, ) was a person that helped refugees from Norway escape over the Norway–Sweden border during the German occupation of Norway, Second World War. There were probably over a thousand Norwegian border guides active during the Second World War. Men, women, and children served as border guides and assisted in guiding a total of 40,000 refugees to safety across the border in neutral Sweden. Background On the same day that Operation Weserübung, Norway was attacked by Nazi Germany, some people started fleeing to Sweden. Initially this was relatively easy, with few controls. SVT2 (SVT Två; commonly referred to as Tvåan), is one of the two main television channels broadcast by Sveriges Television in Sweden. Launched in 1969 by Sveriges Radio, the channel was until the 1990s the most watched in Sweden but now serves as SVT's specialist television network, carrying more highbrow and minority programming compared to the more mainstream SVT1. Helge Jordal (born February 17, 1946) is a Norwegian actor. He was appointed a Knight of the Royal Order of St. Olav in 2006 for his long career as an actor both on screen and on stage, and for his position as a "grand old man" among Norwegian actors. Early life Jordal was born in Bergen. Career Since he graduated from the Teaterhøyskolen in 1972, he distinguished himself in several roles on the film screen, television, stage and cabaret theaters across the country. He was employed at the Nationaltheateret in Oslo (1972–77), Hålogaland Teater in Tromsø, before he came to the Den Nationale Scene (DNS) in Bergen (1981).
