Grzegorz Wagner
Grzegorz Wagner (born 13 December 1965) is a former Polish volleyball player and coach. He was part of the Polish national team in 1985–2002, Polish Champion (1989). Personal life His parents are Danuta Kordaczuk and Hubert Wagner. His mother was a volleyball player (setter), bronze medalist of Olympics 1964, medalist of World Championship and European Championship. His father Hubert was also a volleyball player (also setter), bronze medalist of the European Championship 1967, as head coach led the Polish men's national volleyball team to titles of World Champions 1974 and Olympic Champions 1976. He is married to Agata (née Marszałek), a former volleyball player. He has two sons - Iwo (born 1991) and Jakub (born 1993) and daughter Sara (born 2003). Both of his sons are volleyball players. The Men's European Volleyball Championship (''EuroVolley'') is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of Europe, organized by the European Volleyball Confederation ( CEV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1975 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Italy, which won its seventh title at the 2021 tournament. BKS Stal Bielsko-Biała is a Polish sports club, with two departments: the men's football team and the women's volleyball team. The club is based in Bielsko-Biała. The football team plays in the Polish lower divisions, whereas the volleyball team is one of the top sides in the country. The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May.
