Gryf Wejherowo
Gryf Wejherowo is a Polish football club in Wejherowo, Poland. The club plays in the Polish Fourth League (). It was founded as in 1921, but after World War II the club was renamed Gryf Wejherowo. Gryf Wejherowo is the oldest football club in Pomeranian Voivodeship, and for several years was the only club in the region playing in the Polish Third League (). It is well known in Poland for reaching the 2011–12 Polish Cup quarterfinals after beating clubs from the Polish Premier League () and the Polish First League (). Football team . Wejherowo County
__NOTOC__ Wejherowo County ( csb, Wejrowsczi kréz, pl, powiat wejherowski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Pomeranian Voivodeship, northern Poland, on the Baltic coast. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Wejherowo, which lies north-west of the regional capital Gdańsk. The county also contains the towns of Rumia, lying east of Wejherowo, and Reda, east of Wejherowo. Rumia, Reda and Wejherowo are contiguous, and are referred to as the Kashubian Tricity, an allusion to the larger Tricity area centred on Gdańsk. The county covers an area of . Jadwiga Jędrzejowska
Jadwiga "Jed" Jędrzejowska (; 15 October 1912 – 28 February 1980) was a Polish tennis player who had her main achievements during the second half of the 1930s. Because her name was difficult to pronounce for many people who did not speak Polish, she was often called by the nicknames "Jed" or "Ja-Ja". Career Jędrzejowska, a baseline player with a strong forehand, reached the singles final of a Grand Slam tournament on three occasions, a record for Polish tennis. In 1937 she lost in three sets to Dorothy Round in the Wimbledon final and at the U.S. Championships later that year she was defeated in the final by Anita Lizana. In 1939 she was a runner-up at the French Championships, losing in the final to Simonne Mathieu in straight sets. Ignacy Tłoczyński
Ignacy Tłoczyński (; 14 July 1911 – 25 December 2000) was a Polish tennis player, coach and World War II veteran. Tłoczyński participated in 10 Davis Cup ties for Poland from 1930–1939, posting a 23–8 record in singles and a 3–9 record in doubles. He won two national titles in singles, seven in doubles and was a six-time International Polish Championship winner. He was ranked number one in Poland in 1934. In international level he reached the third round at Wimbledon on four occasions. He was a doubles semi-finalist for the French Open with Adam Baworowski, won the Monte-Carlo tournament (now known as the Monte-Carlo Masters) in doubles with Józef Hebda, a two-times singles runner-up for the British Hard Court Championships, and three-times Scottish champion. Sokol Movement
The Sokol movement (, ''falcon'') is an all-age gymnastics organization first founded in Prague in the Czech lands of Austria-Hungary in 1862 by Miroslav Tyrš and Jindřich Fügner. It was based upon the principle of " a strong mind in a sound body". The Sokol, through lectures, discussions, and group outings provided what Tyrš viewed as physical, moral, and intellectual training for the nation. This training extended to men of all ages and classes, and eventually to women. Kashubians
The Kashubians ( csb, Kaszëbi; pl, Kaszubi; german: Kaschuben), also known as Cassubians or Kashubs, are a Lechitic ( West Slavic) ethnic group native to the historical region of Pomerania, including its eastern part called Pomerelia, in north-central Poland. Their settlement area is referred to as Kashubia. They speak the Kashubian language, which is classified as a separate language closely related to Polish. Tomasz Unton (born 1 November 1970) is a Polish former footballer. Unton spent the majority of his career playing in Pomerania, with his longest spell at Lechia Gdańsk. Senior career Unton began his career at the youth levels with Arka Gdynia before joining Arka's rivals Lechia Gdańsk in 1988. During his 8 seasons at Lechia, Unton played 212 times in the league, and scored 36 goals placing him in the top 20 for all time appearances and goals scored while playing for Lechia. Despite an enjoyable time with Lechia, Unton's most successful period was his time with Legia Warsaw. Despite only playing 14 games in all competitions, Unton won the Ekstraklasa and the Puchar Polski before leaving the club months after he joined. Marcin Burkhardt (; born 25 September 1983) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Weszło Warsaw. From 2021 to 2022 he served as a sporting director of Pogoń Siedlce.
