Growling
Growling is a low, guttural vocalization produced by animals as an aggressive warning but can also be found in other contexts such as playful behaviors or mating. Different animals will use growling in specific contexts as a form of communication. In humans, low or dull rumbling noises may also be emitted when they are discontent with something or they are angry, although this human sound is often termed " groaning". Animals that growl include felines, bears, canines and crocodilians. The animals most commonly known for growling are canines, bears, and felines. ''Grrr'' is an onomatopoeic word which imitates the growling sound of animals, often used with other related meanings. It is one of the rare pronounceable words of the English language that consists solely of consonants. Its most simple use is by children imitating animals. An example would be: "Mom!, Dad!, Look at me! I'm a polar bear! Grrr!" This word is also widely used in various titles to express growling when wri ...

GRRR! It's Betty Boo
''Grrr! It's Betty Boo'' is the second studio album by English singer Betty Boo, released on 12 October 1992 via WEA Records. This album failed to match the success of her debut studio album, '' Boomania'' (1990), stalling at No. 62 in the UK Albums Chart. The album did however garner one hit single with "Let Me Take You There", which peaked at No. 12 in the UK Singles Chart. Further singles from the album were "I'm on My Way", "Catch Me", "Thing Goin' On" and "Hangover". The record is dedicated to her father. The cover art is based on the iconic package of Tigra cigarettes. After this, Betty Boo retired from the music industry for several years. Critical reception Writing for ''The Guardian'' in October 1992, Adam Sweeting thought that the album contained "more than its fair share of garish artificial charm", surmising that although Boo's songs "hang on a thread of absurdity", presenting critics with an easy target, "her kittenish raps – usually about boys and boy-trouble – b ...

Grrr (Hugh Masekela Album)
''Grrr'' is the second studio album by South African musician Hugh Masekela. It was recorded in New York City and released in 1966 via Mercury Records. ''Grrr'' was re-released on LP in 1968 on Wing/Mercury labels as ''Hugh Masekela'' and on CD in 2003 on Verve label. On this record, he seamlessly fuses jazz ideas with the rhythmically complex South African music known as Mbaqanga. Reception A reviewer of Dusty Groove wrote: "Great early work from Hugh Masekela! The record features all instrumental tracks – all short, and with Hugh's funky South African trumpet rolling over the top! The overall sound is a lot less slick than on some of his late 60s hits – and you can really hear his roots in the South African jazz scene on this one. The tracks are spare, with a strong jazz component – and dancing piano lines behind the raspy and soulful trumpet and trombone solos that dominate much of the record."
