''Growing Up'' is the debut studio album by American rock band the Linda Lindas. Epitaph Records released the album on April 8, 2022. It was produced by Carlos de la Garza, the father of band members Lucia and Mila de la Garza. Recording sessions for ''Growing Up'' took place at Music Friends in Los Angeles from June to October 2021. ''Growing Up'' is a punk rock album, with lyrics that focus on themes of growing up, discovering oneself, and anxieties that arise in adolescence. The album was written during the COVID-19 pandemic, limiting the band's ability to write together. Kathleen Hanna
Kathleen Hanna (born November 12, 1968) is an American singer, musician, artist, feminist activist, pioneer of the feminist punk riot grrrl movement, and punk zine writer. In the early-to-mid-1990s she was the lead singer of feminist punk band Bikini Kill, before fronting Le Tigre in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Since 2010, she has recorded as the Julie Ruin. In 2009, Hanna made her zines, art pieces, photography, video, music, journals, and other material which focus on the early formation of the Riot Grrrl movement available at the Fales Library at New York University. A documentary film about Hanna was released in 2013 by director Sini Anderson, titled ''The Punk Singer'', detailing Hanna's life and career, as well as revealing her years-long battle with Lyme disease. Le Tigre (, ; French for "The Tiger") is an American electronic rock band formed by Kathleen Hanna (of Bikini Kill), Johanna Fateman and Sadie Benning in 1998 in New York City. Benning left in 2000 and was replaced by JD Samson for the rest of the group's existence. They mixed punk's directness and politics with playful samples, eclectic pop, and lo-fi electronics. is a single by the Japanese rock band The Blue Hearts that was first released on May 1, 1987. Lyrics and music were written by Hiroto Kōmoto, the band's lead vocalist, and was arranged by The Blue Hearts. The track reached #38 on the Oricon charts during its release year. It remains one of the group's most popular songs and was included on many albums. It was rereleased as a single on February 6, 2002. Kristin Gundred, known professionally as Kristin Kontrol, is an American musician, singer and songwriter.
