Grindstone Creek (Algoma District)
Grindstone Creek is a stream in the Unorganized North Part of Algoma District in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. It is in the Great Lakes Basin and is a left tributary of the Mississagi River. Course The stream begins at an unnamed lake in geographic Rioux Township. It flows southwest to another unnamed lake and continues southwest into Upper Grindstone Lake. The lake trends southwest into the northwest corner of geographic Wagg Township; the creek then flows southwest into Grindstone Lake. The lake trends southwest into geographic Dagle Township. Grindstone Creek leaves Grindstone Lake at the southwest, continues in a southwest direction, passes under Ontario Highway 129, and reaches its mouth at the Mississagi River. Grindstone Creek is a stream in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, Ontario, Canada. It is in the Great Lakes Basin and is a tributary of Lake Ontario at the western end of the lake. The creek begins Lake Medad in the city of Burlington, Regional Municipality of Halton. It flows west immediately into the unitary city of Hamilton. The creek turns southwest into the community of Waterdown, and flows over the Niagara Escarpment at Boundary Falls. It re-enters Burlington at the community of Aldershot, turns west, and reaches its mouth at Hamilton Harbour on Lake Ontario, adjacent to the Royal Botanical Gardens. Grindstone Creek is a stream in Clinton, DeKalb and Daviess counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of the Grand River. The stream headwaters are in northern Clinton County south of the community of Osborn at . The stream flows northeast through southeastern DeKalb County past the community of Fordham and passing under Missouri Route 6 1.5 miles east of Weatherby. It enters Daviess County approximately three miles northeast of Weatherby and flows north crossing under Missouri Route E one half mile west of Santa Rosa.
