Mill (grinding)
A mill is a device, often a structure, machine or kitchen appliance, that breaks solid materials into smaller pieces by grinding, crushing, or cutting. Such comminution is an important unit operation in many processes. There are many different types of mills and many types of materials processed in them. Historically mills were powered by hand or by animals (e.g., via a hand crank), working animal (e.g., horse mill), wind (windmill) or water (watermill). In modern era, they are usually powered by electricity. The grinding of solid materials occurs through mechanical forces that break up the structure by overcoming the interior bonding forces. After the grinding the state of the solid is changed: the grain size, the grain size disposition and the grain shape. Milling also refers to the process of breaking down, separating, sizing, or classifying aggregate material (e.g. mining ore). For instance rock crushing or grinding to produce uniform aggregate size for construction purp ...

Grinding (abrasive Cutting)
Grinding is a type of abrasive machining process which uses a grinding wheel as Cutting tool (machining), cutting tool. A wide variety of machines are used for grinding, best classified as portable or stationary: * Portable power tools such as angle grinders, die grinders and abrasive saw, cut-off saws * Stationary power tools such as bench grinders and abrasive saw, cut-off saws * Stationary hydropower, hydro- or human power, hand-powered grindstone (tool), sharpening stones Milling practice is a large and diverse area of manufacturing and Tool and die maker, toolmaking. It can produce very fine finishes and very accurate dimensions; yet in mass production contexts, it can also rough out large volumes of metal quite rapidly. It is usually better suited to the machining of very Hardness, hard materials than is "regular" machining (that is, cutting larger chips with cutting tools such as tool bits or milling cutters), and until recent decades it was the only practical way to mach ...

Grinding (video Gaming)
Grinding in video games is the act of repeating an action or set of actions to achieve a desired result. Players usually perform these tasks to earn experience points / exp points, in-game items ( loot), or to improve a character's level/ stats. Grinding is commonly performed in MMORPGs. Synonyms for grinding include the figurative terms ''treadmilling'' (a comparison with exercise treadmills) and, less commonly, ''pushing the bar''. Related terms include ''farming'' (in which the repetition is undertaken in order to obtain items, relating the activity to tending a farm field), and ''cat assing'', which refers to extended and obsessive play sessions. Motivation A player is commonly motivated to grind due to a player's desire to earn rewards and to influence or increase their level. Alternatively, players may enjoy repetitive tasks for the purpose of relaxation, especially if the task has a consistently positive result. MMORPGs often require grinding. In the majority of M ...

Grinding (dance)
Grinding, also known as juking, freak dancing or freaking (in the Caribbean, wining) is a type of close partner dance where two or more dancers rub or bump their bodies against each other, most often with a male dancer rubbing or bumping his genitials against a female dancer's buttocks. The male dancer will typically place his hands on the female dancer's waist, hips, or buttocks. Grinding gained widespread popularity as a hip hop dance in night clubs, and eventually moved on to high school and middle school dances in the US and Canada where there have been cases of administrators attempting to ban it due to its explicit nature.Ordway, Renee"A grinding halt for Bangor High School dances?" Bruxism
Bruxism is excessive teeth grinding or jaw clenching. It is an oral parafunctional activity; i.e., it is unrelated to normal function such as eating or talking. Bruxism is a common behavior; reports of prevalence range from 8% to 31% in the general population. Several symptoms are commonly associated with bruxism, including aching jaw muscles, headaches, hypersensitive teeth, tooth wear, and damage to dental restorations (e.g. crowns and fillings). Symptoms may be minimal, without patient awareness of the condition. If nothing is done, after a while many teeth start wearing down until the whole tooth is gone. There are two main types of bruxism: one occurs during sleep (nocturnal bruxism) and one during wakefulness (awake bruxism). Dental damage may be similar in both types, but the symptoms of sleep bruxism tend to be worse on waking and improve during the course of the day, and the symptoms of awake bruxism may not be present at all on waking, and then worsen over the day. Grinds (skateboarding)
In skateboarding, grinds are tricks that involve the skateboarder sliding along a surface, making contact with the trucks of the skateboard. Grinds can be performed on any object narrow enough to fit between wheels and are performed on curbs, rails, the coping of a skate ramp, funboxes, ledges, and a variety of other surfaces. History The move likely originated in backyard pools in the early '70s , as the early skaters gained in skill and confidence with their high speed carves around the top of the pool walls and one day went that ''little bit'' too high . The trucks of the time, often being merely 'borrowed' rollerskate trucks , didn't allow much contact due to their narrowness, but as skateboarding gained its own truck manufacturers who widened the hanger design, the possibilities for exploration became apparent, and all sorts of moves started popping up . There was a big leap in street skating starting in the '90s . It has evolved ever since. Today, grinds are commonly pe ...

Grind
A blade's grind is its cross-sectional shape in a plane normal to the edge. Grind differs from blade profile, which is the blade's cross-sectional shape in the plane containing the blade's edge and the centre contour of the blade's back (meaning the shape of the blade when viewed from the side, i.e. clip point, spear point, etc.). The ''grind'' of a blade should not be confused with the bevel forming the sharpened edge; it more usually describes the overall cross-section of the blade, not inclusive of the beveled cutting edge which is typically of a different, less acute angle as the bevel ground onto the blade to give it a cross-sectional shape. For example, the famous Buck 110 hunting knife has a "hollow ground" blade, with concave blade faces (which aid in slicing through materials), but the cutting edge itself is a simple, flat-ground bevel of lesser angle. It would be difficult, if not impossible, to put a "hollow grind" onto the actual cutting edge of the blade itself, ...

One Monkey Don't Stop No Show (album)
''One Monkey Don't Stop No Show'' is the fourth studio album by the Atlanta-based hip hop group Goodie Mob. Background This album does not include one of the group's former frontmen, Cee Lo Green, because he broke away to pursue his solo career. That left Khujo, T-Mo, and Big Gipp to hold up the album. ''One Monkey Don't Stop No Show'' was released in 2004 under Koch Records, after the critical failure of ''World Party'', the Crunk and Pop experiment, which sold more than any of their other albums. The condensed Goodie Mob returns more to its socially conscious form of its first two releases, ''Soul Food'' and '' Still Standing''. The song "Play Your Flutes", featuring Sleepy Brown and Kurupt and produced by J. Wells Jon Wells (born 1983) is an American record producer, record executive, and rapper.
