Prince Grigol Bagration of Mukhrani ( ka, გრიგოლ ბაგრატიონ მუხრანელი) (1787—1861) was a Georgia (country), Georgian nobleman of the House of Mukhrani. Life Prince Grigol was son of Ioane I, Prince of Mukhrani and was born in 1787. He married Princess Mariam Tsereteli but had no children. Died on 26 February 1861. Prince Ivane Bagration of Mukhrani was his nephew. Major-General and participant of Russo-Turkish War (1828–29), Russo-Persian War (1826–28) and Caucasian War. The Caucasian War (russian: Кавказская война; ''Kavkazskaya vojna'') or Caucasus War was a 19th century military conflict between the Russian Empire and various peoples of the North Caucasus who resisted subjugation during the Russian conquest of the Caucasus. Russo-Persian War (1826–28)
The Russo-Persian Wars or Russo-Iranian Wars were a series of conflicts between 1651 and 1828, concerning Persia (Iran) and the Russian Empire. Russia and Persia fought these wars over disputed governance of territories and countries in the Caucasus. The main territories disputed were Aran, Georgia and Armenia, as well as much of Dagestan – generally referred to as Transcaucasia – and considered part of the Safavid Iran prior to the Russo-Persian Wars. Over the course of the five Russo-Persian Wars, the governance of these regions transferred between the two empires.
