Griffith Grand Trunk Depot is a historic train station located at Griffith, Lake County, Indiana. It was built in 1911 by the Grand Trunk Western Railroad The Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company is an American subsidiary of the Canadian National Railway operating in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. Since a corporate restructuring in 1971, the railroad has been under CN's subsidiary holding .... It is a simple one-story, frame building measuring 20 feet by 30 feet. It has a steeply pitched hipped roof with overhanging eaves and a projecting three-sided bay. The depot operated until 1980. Griffith is a town in the Calumet and St. John townships in Lake County, Indiana, United States. It is a part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The population was 16,331 in 2021.
