Griffin LaMarre
Griffin LaMarre (born November 10, 1996) is an American ice sled hockey player. He was a member of the United States national team that won gold at the 2022 Winter Paralympics. Career LaMarre represented the United States at the 2022 Winter Paralympics and won a gold medal. He made his Paralympic debut on March 6, 2022, in the third period of a game against South Korea. He entered the game as a reserve goalie for Jen Lee and allowed one goal in 15 minutes. Haverhill, Massachusetts
Haverhill ( ) is a city in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States. Haverhill is located 35 miles north of Boston on the New Hampshire border and about 17 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. The population was 67,787 at the 2020 United States Census. Located on the Merrimack River, Haverhill began as a farming community of Puritans, largely from Newbury Plantation. The land was officially purchased from the Pentuckets on November 15, 1642 (One year after incorporation) for three pounds, and ten shillings. Pentucket was renamed Haverhill (after the Ward family's hometown in England) and evolved into an important industrial center, beginning with sawmills and gristmills run by water power. Jen Lee (born July 26, 1986) is an American ice sled hockey player. He was a member of the United States national team that won gold at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Winter Paralympics. Career Lee served as the backup goaltender for the United States, behind starter Steve Cash, at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Paralympics. After the retirement of Cash, Lee was named the starting goaltender for the United States at the 2022 Winter Paralympics. During the 2022 Paralympics, he had three shutouts in his first Paralympics as the starting goaltender. He did not allow a goal in any of his four starts, stopping all 33 shots faced.
