Hanne Sophie Greve
Hanne Sophie Greve (born 14 April 1952 in Tønsberg, Norway) is a Norwegian judge. She graduated as cand.jur. in (1976) and later (1988) dr. juris at the University of Bergen. She was judge at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg from 1998 to 2004. Before she was appointed to the position in Strasbourg, she was a judge at Gulating Court of Appeal and was involved in a number of national and international projects where human rights were in focus. Her doctoral thesis was about refugees from Cambodia, a subject about which she has shown a particular interest and written about on various occasions. Tim Greve (20 February 1928 – 27 April 1986) was a Norwegian historian, biographer, civil servant, diplomat and newspaper editor. Personal life Greve was born in Bergen as the son of consul Arent Wittendorph Greve (1892–1950) and Anna Gade (1900–1977). His brother Egil Gade Greve was a notable businessman, and Tim Greve was also a distant descendant of Arent Jansen Greve. In 1954 he married jurist Marit Nansen, daughter of architect Odd Nansen and granddaughter of Eva and Fridtjof Nansen. They resided at Fornebu in Bærum, incidentally in the road ''Fridtjof Nansens vei''. Career Greve attended the Nansen Academy, and then studied history at the University of Oslo, graduating in 1952. Otto Heinrich Greve
Otto Heinrich Greve (30 January 1908 in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany – 11 June 1968 in Ascona, Ticino, Switzerland) was a German lawyer by profession and a politician of the German Democratic Party (DDP) and its successor German State Party (DStP; 1926 to 1933, when the Nazis banned that party), the Free Democratic Party (F.D.P.; 1945 to 1947) and Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD; since 1948) and a member of the German Bundestag. Michael S. Greve is a professor at the George Mason University School of Law. Previously, he served as the John G. Searle Scholar and Director of the Federalism Project at the American Enterprise Institute. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Greve's research interests include federalism, constitutional law, environmental policy, and Internet regulation. Mathias Sigwardt Greve
Mathias Sigwardt Greve (17 September 1832 – 27 December 1912) was a Norwegian physician, best known as the director of Rikshospitalet from 1883 to 1911. Personal life He was born in Bergen as a son of curate Arent Wittendorph Greve and Ulrike Eleonore Sigwardt. He was a great-grandson of goldsmith Arent Greve and a grandson of bishop Mathias Sigwardt. In May 1858 in Bergen he married Blanca Olivia Juell (1836–1918). They had two notable children, architect Adolf Bredo Stabell Greve and weaver Ulrikke Eleonore Sigwardt Greve. His daughter Astrid married literary historian Christen Collin.
