Gregory Lamberson
Gregory Lamberson (born April 19, 1964) is an American filmmaker and author. He is known for writing novels such as ''Johnny Gruesome'' and the series ''The Jake Helman Files'', and for directing the 1988 film ''Slime City''. He is also one of the directors of the Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival. Life and career Lamberson was born in Gowanda, New York and grew up in the nearby village of Fredonia. Having studied filmmaking at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, his first appearance in a film was an uncredited role in the 1987 horror comedy ''I Was a Teenage Zombie''. The next year, he directed and produced the cult film ''Slime City''. In 1991, he wrote, directed, produced, and acted in the horror film ''Undying Love'', and in 1999 did the same for the film ''Naked Fear''. On May 19, 1999, he married Tamar Lamberson, and the couple had a daughter named Kaelin. Gowanda, New York
Gowanda is a village in western New York, United States. It lies partly in Erie County and partly in Cattaraugus County. The population was 2,512 at the 2020 census. The name is derived from a local Seneca language term meaning "almost surrounded by hills" or "a valley among the hills". The Erie County portion of Gowanda is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan statistical area, while the Cattaraugus County portion is part of the Olean micropolitan statistical area. The village is partly in the Town of Collins in Erie County and partly in the Town of Persia in Cattaraugus County. Bordering Gowanda is the Cattaraugus Reservation, which has a majority population of Seneca. Numerous European Americans live on the reservation in leased properties. ''Slime City Massacre'' is a 2010 American science fiction comedy horror film directed by Greg Lamberson and starring Jennifer Bihl, Kealan Patrick Burke, Debbie Rochon and Robert Sabin. The Bram Stoker Award is a recognition presented annually by the Horror Writers Association (HWA) for "superior achievement" in dark fantasy and horror writing. History The Awards were established in 1987 and have been presented annually since 1988, and the winners are selected by ballot of the Active members of the HWA. They are named after Irish horror writer Bram Stoker, author of the novel ''Dracula'', among others.
