Gregorio Valdez Memorial Award
The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences bestowed the Gregorio Valdez Memorial Award to Filipino producers and film industry leaders of distinction whose body of films produced and/or film industry achievements have given merit to the Filipino film industry as a whole, as well as Filipino film producers in other countries whose body of work is recognized in that particular country. Joseph Estrada
Joseph Ejercito Estrada, (; born Jose Marcelo Ejercito; April 19, 1937), also known by the nickname Erap, is a Filipino politician and former actor. He served as the 13th president of the Philippines from 1998 to 2001, the 9th vice president of the Philippines from 1992 to 1998, and the 21st mayor of the City of Manila, the country's capital, from 2013 to 2019. In 2001, he became the first chief executive in Asia to be formally impeached and resigned from power. At the age of 85, he is currently the oldest living former Philippine President. The 22nd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards Night was held in 1974 at the Manila Hilton Hotel. This ceremony will give recognition to the movies that was made for the year 1973. The 28th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards Night was held in 1979 at Manila Midtown Ramada, Philippines . This is for the Outstanding Achievements of the different films for the year 1979. Durugin si Totoy Bato of FPJ Productions was the most awarded film of the 28th FAMAS Awards with 5 wins. However, it failed to win the FAMAS Award for Best Picture. "Jaguar", a film by Lino Brocka won the Best Picture as well as the best director for him. The Philippines biggest stars also won the top acting awards. Nora Aunor won the best Actress for her critically acclaimed movie Ina ka ng Anak Mo. Eduardo Verchez Garcia (; May 2, 1929 – June 20, 2019), known colloquially as Manoy, was a Filipino actor, television personality, film director and producer. With almost 600 film and television roles and a career spanning seven decades, he is widely regarded as the "greatest Filipino actor of all time". Manuel "Manoling" Lim Morato (November 17, 1933 – July 30, 2021) was a Filipino politician and television host who previously served as chairperson of both the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). Early life and family Manuel Morato was born on November 17, 1933, the eldest son of Tomás Morató, who became the first Mayor of Quezon City, and Consuelo Eclavea Lim.
