Gregg Fienberg
Gregg Fienberg (born September 12, 1960) is an American television producer and director. He worked on the Western drama '' Deadwood'' in both capacities and received a Directors Guild of America Award and two Emmy Award nominations for the series. He was an Emmy nominated producer for the mystery series ''Twin Peaks''. He was also the executive producer and unit production manager for the HBO series ''True Blood''. The 42nd Primetime Emmy Awards were held on Sunday, September 16, 1990. The ceremony was broadcast on Fox from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California. Two networks, The Family Channel and The Disney Channel, received their first major nominations. For its second season, ''Murphy Brown'' won Outstanding Comedy Series and two other major awards. Defending champion ''Cheers'' received the most major nominations for a comedy series with 11 and ''Newhart'' finished its series run with 21 major nominations, but not a single win. On the drama side, ''L.A. Law'' won Outstanding Drama Series for the third time in four years and also won three major awards, receiving the most major nominations for a drama series with 11. This became the first year that every cast member of ''The Golden Girls'' wasn't nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award. David Milch
David Sanford Milch (born March 23, 1945) is an American writer and producer of television series. He has created several television shows, including ABC's ''NYPD Blue'' (1993-2005), co-created with Steven Bochco, and HBO's '' Deadwood'' (2004-2006). Early life and education Milch graduated with a B.A. ''summa cum laude'' from Yale University, where he won the Tinker Prize in English, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon chapter, along with future US President George W. Bush. Milch earned a Master of Fine Arts with distinction from the Iowa Writers' Workshop at the University of Iowa. To avoid the draft during the Vietnam War, Milch enrolled in Yale Law School, but he was expelled for allegedly shooting out a police car siren with a shotgun. Daniel Knauf, sometimes credited under the pseudonyms Wilfred Schmidt and Chris Neal, is an American television screenwriter and producer, as well as comic book writer, best known for his creation of the 2003 HBO series '' Carnivàle''. Biography Born and raised in Los Angeles, Knauf attended several colleges in Southern California studying fine art, and later graduated from the California State University, Los Angeles with a bachelor's degree in English in 1982. He began work as an employee benefits consultant and later a health insurance broker, writing once he was able to support himself and his family financially.
