Greg Vanderjagt
Greg Vanderjagt (born 27 May 1984) is an Australian professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Brisbane Bullets of the National Basketball League (NBL). He is formerly an assistant coach for the Townsville Crocodiles, and played 10 seasons in the NBL as a player. Playing career Vanderjagt, a 7'0" (213 cm) tall centre, started his NBL career with the Townsville Crocodiles in 2003–04, averaging just 4.5 points and 2.6 rebounds in his first 31 games. He stayed with the Crocodiles until the end of the 2007–08 NBL season, leaving the club after appearing in 153 games. After leaving the Crocodiles, Vanderjagt moved to the Gold Coast and joined the Blaze for the 2008–09 season. He managed just nine games in his first season with the Blaze due to sustaining an injury in November 2008. Luke Schenscher
Luke Dean Schenscher (born 31 December 1982) is an Australian former professional basketball player. He played four years of college basketball for Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's basketball, Georgia Tech before having stints in the National Basketball Association, NBA with the Chicago Bulls in 2006 and the Portland Trail Blazers in 2007. 2022–23 NBL Season
The 2022–23 NBL season was the 45th season of the National Basketball League since its establishment in 1979. A total of ten teams contested in the 2022–23 season. Australian broadcast rights to the season are held by ESPN in the second season of a three-year deal. All games are available live on ESPN and the streaming platform Kayo Sports. Paul Woolpert
Paul Woolpert is an American basketball coach and scout. He was the head coach of the Yakima Sun Kings in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) for seven non-consecutive years (1998–2001, 2004–2008). He was named CBA Coach of the Year in 2007 and 2008. He led the Sun Kings to four CBA Championships (1995, 2000, 2006, 2007). A new Yakima Sun Kings team was founded in 2017 and Woolpert was hired as head coach. The team won the North American Premier Basketball (NAPB) Championship in 2018. He was fired during the 2019 NAPB Championship Series. The 2011–12 NBL season was the 34th season of competition since its establishment in 1979. A total of nine teams contested the league. The regular season was played between 7 October 2011 and 25 March 2012, followed by a post-season involving the top four in April 2012. The schedule was announced on 19 May 2011. Perth Wildcats
The Perth Wildcats are an Australian professional basketball team based in Perth, Western Australia. The Wildcats compete in the National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at RAC Arena, known colloquially as "The Jungle". After three years of strong lobbying to the NBL, the creation of a national basketball team in Perth finally occurred in 1982. The Westate Wildcats were established and played out of the 800-seat Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium. Interest in basketball steadily grew throughout the community and in 1984 the Westate Wildcats became the Perth Wildcats.
