Greg Stewart (triathlete)
Greg Stewart is an Australian triathlon and duathlon champion from Highton. He is two times Australian champion in triathlon and two times Australiam champion in duathlon. Since 1983 he competes in triathlon. His first success was in 1986 When he won the Australian championship in intermediate distance triathlon. In 1987 he became third at the Ironman World Championship. Stewart has been a triathlon coach for more than 20 years and has been selector for the Australian team for four years. Duathlon
Duathlon is an athletic event that consists of a running leg, followed by a cycling leg and then another running leg in a format similar to triathlons. The International Triathlon Union governs the sport internationally. Distance and format Duathlons are conducted at sprint, standard, middle and long distances. Ironman World Championship
The Ironman World Championship has been held annually in Hawaii since 1978, with an additional race in 1982. It is owned and organized by the World Triathlon Corporation. Highton
Highton is a residential suburb of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. With views across Geelong, Corio Bay and the surrounding region, Highton is located along the banks of the Barwon River and across the rolling Barrabool Hills. The Barwon River straddles Highton to the north and east, while it is bordered by the hilly Ceres and Wandana Heights to the west, the former (and now underground) Kardinia Creek separates the suburb from Belmont to the south-east, and the Princes Highway and Pigdons Road to the south separate the suburb from Waurn Ponds.
