Greg Smith (born October 8, 1959) is a former Republican member of the Kansas Senate, representing the 21st district from 2013 to 2017. Previously he was a member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 22 from 2011 to 2013. He is the father of the murdered Kelsey Smith Kelsey Smith (born 11 August 1994) is a New Zealand field hockey player who plays for the national team. Smith was born on 11 August 1994 in Nelson. Kansas's 21st Senate district is one of 40 districts in the Kansas Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Dinah Sykes since 2017; Sykes was first elected as a Republican Party (United States), Republican but switched parties in 2018. Murder Of Kelsey Smith
Kelsey Ann Smith (May 3, 1989 – June 2, 2007) was an Overland Park, Kansas, teenager who disappeared on June 2, 2007, and was murdered that evening. The story was featured in the international media, including on ''America's Most Wanted'', before her body was found near a lake in Missouri on June 6, 2007. Overview Smith was last seen at 7:07 p.m. CST on June 2, 2007, in the parking lot of a Target store at 97th and Quivira, behind the Oak Park Mall in Overland Park, Kansas. Overland Park ( ) is the second-most populous city in the U.S. state of Kansas. Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is a public community college in Overland Park, Kansas, which is in Johnson County. History In 1963, Johnson County Commissioners, recognizing the emerging community college movement and seeking to accommodate the rapidly growing population of Johnson County, Kansas, formed a committee to examine the feasibility of forming such an institution in Johnson County. The college was formally established following a successful county-wide election held in March 1967.
