Greg Neale
Corky and the Juice Pigs was a Canadian comedy musical group made up of Phil Nichol (guitar and vocals), Greg Neale (mandolin and vocals), and Seán Cullen (harmonica and vocals). Their output consisted mainly of original comedic songs, largely satirical and often parodying various musical styles. History Corky and the Juice Pigs began performing on a comedy show on the University of Windsor's CJAM campus radio station. There, the group hosted a show called "Last Laughs on Us". They referred to themselves as "The Little Bits of Gravel". This line up comprised Nichol, Cullen, and Joe Costa. After their stint on college radio, Costa, Cullen, and Nichols entered a comedy competition hosted by Eugene Levy that was touring Canadian university campuses in the late 1980s. Barenaked Ladies is a Canadian rock band formed in 1988 in Scarborough, Ontario. ''SketchCom'' was a 1998 Canadian television comedy series, created by Roger Abbott and Don Ferguson of the Royal Canadian Air Farce. The series aired on Monday evenings, 7:30 pm in most time zones. The first of the series' 13 episodes aired 5 October 1998 and aired most weeks until early 1999. Different sketch performers were featured in each episode. Melbourne International Comedy Festival
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) is the largest stand-alone comedy festival and the second-largest international comedy festival in the world. Established in 1987, it takes place annually in Melbourne over four weeks, typically starting in March and running through to April. The Melbourne Town Hall has served as the festival hub, but performances are held in many venues throughout the city. The MICF plays host to hundreds of local and international artists; in 2018 the festival listed over 550 shows, 6,700 performances (including more than 160 free performances) by 3,500 artists. 3RRR (pronounced "Three Triple R", or simply "Triple R") is an Australian community radio station, based in Melbourne. 3RRR first commenced broadcasting in 1976 from the studios of 3ST, the student radio station of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (now RMIT University), on an educational licence with the name 3RMT. In 1979 it relocated to Fitzroy, and adopted its present name. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, it became synonymous with the post punk and new wave subcultures.
