Greg Hembree (born August 21, 1960) is an American politician. Since 2013, he has represented the 28th district (Dillon and Horry Counties) in the South Carolina Senate. Dick Elliott (politician)
Dick Elliott was a Democratic member of the South Carolina Senate, representing the 28th District since 1992. He was previously a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1982 through 1992. He went to Wingate Junior College, now Wingate University, and to Clemson University. Elliott was a real estate developer. In 1959, he founded Elliott Realty, a real estate company. In 1971, he developed Eagle Nest Golf Course. The South Carolina Senate is the upper house of the South Carolina General Assembly, the lower house being the South Carolina House of Representatives. It consists of 46 senators elected from single member districts for four-year terms at the same time as United States presidential elections. The South Carolina Constitution of 1895 provided for each county to elect one senator for a four-year term. Richard Damon Elliott (April 30, 1886 – December 22, 1961) was an American character actor who played in over 240 films from the 1930s until the time of his death. Early years Elliott was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Career Elliott played many different roles, typically as a somewhat blustery sort, such as a politician. A short, fat man, Elliott played Santa Claus on the Jimmy Durante, Red Skelton, and Jack Benny programs. Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri
Fort Leonard Wood is a U.S. Army training installation located in the Missouri Ozarks. The main gate is located on the southern boundary of The City of St. Robert. The post was created in December 1940 and named in honor of General Leonard Wood (former Chief of Staff) in January 1941. Originally intended to train infantry troops, in 1941 it became an engineer training post with the creation of the Engineer Replacement Training Center. During World War II Italian and German POWs were interned at the fort. In 1984, as part of the Base Realignment and Closure process, most of the U.S. Army Engineer School's operations were consolidated at Fort Leonard Wood.
