Green Side
Hart Side (''the hill side frequented by harts'') is a subsidiary top on one of the east ridges of Stybarrow Dodd, which is a mountain (or fell) in the English Lake District, west of Ullswater on the main Helvellyn ridge in the Eastern Fells. With a height of 2,480 feet (756 m) Hart Side rises above the col separating it from Green Side by 75 feet (23 m). Some guide-book writers have treated Hart Side as a distinct fell, and have devoted a separate chapter to it. The same writers have treated the lower Watermillock Common as part of (or associated with) the fell. Other writers have simply focussed on routes to and between the many individual tops here and throughout Lakeland. Hart Side and Green Side are the two ends of a ridge which is composed of andesite rock, a sequence of lava flows from ancient volcanoes. Greenside, Tyne And Wear
Greenside is a village in the extreme west of the Metropolitan County of Tyne and Wear, England. Once an independent village in County Durham, it became incorporated into Tyne and Wear in 1974 and then the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead in 1986. Location Greenside is in the outer west of Gateshead, between the villages of Crawcrook and High Spen and not far from the small town of Ryton. It also lies near the old lead route that ran from the north Pennines to Tyneside. History Largely rural in nature, Greenside was built upon coal mining and agriculture. With the creation of Greenside colliery, along with the nearby collieries of Emma, Clara and Stargate, the area grew in importance and its coal industry became extensive. Greenside House
Greenside House is an 18th-century residence located in Hackenthorpe, Sheffield, England. The building is estimated to have been built around 1825 and is a Grade II listed building. History Prior to the 1930s, Hackenthorpe was a village in north Derbyshire county, however following the war, the city of Sheffield experienced a population boom and the village was incorporated into the city, and in the process moving into the county of South Yorkshire. Historically the building was the residence of the Staniforth family who operated the Thomas Staniforth & Co Scytheworks between the 1740s and early 20th century. The business was operated out of the workshops next to the residence. The building stayed in the family through to the early 20th century. John Hibbard and his wife Louisa (nee Staniforth) lived in the house in the early 20th century.
