Green Italia
Green Italia is a green political party in Italy. The party was founded in June 2013 by a heterogeneous group of politicians, notably including Monica Frassoni (co-spokesperson of the European Green Party and former independent MEP of the Federation of the Greens), Fabio Granata and Flavia Perina (The People of Freedom and Future and Freedom), Roberto Della Seta and Francesco Ferrante (former senators of the Democratic Party and former leaders of ''Legambiente''), Marco Boato, Fiorello Cortiana and Anna Donati (former Green MPs; Boato, a former Radical, is still an active member of that party), as well as green economy entrepreneurs, intellectuals and activists. Granata left the party in November 2017 to join Diventerà Bellissima for the 2017 Sicilian regional election. Padua
Padua ( ; it, Padova ; vec, Pàdova) is a city and ''comune'' in Veneto, northern Italy. Padua is on the river Bacchiglione, west of Venice. It is the capital of the province of Padua. European Greens – Green Italia
European Greens – Green Italy ( it, Verdi Europei – Green Italia) has been a political alliance in Italy between the Federation of the Greens and Green Italia, constituted for the 2014 European election. The list was initially excluded to not have picked up the 30,000 signatures necessary for the candidacy in every of the five Italian districts. The list has subsequently been readmitted to the electoral competition following provision of the Court of Cassation that has recognized the exemption from the obligation of harvest of the signatures because the list is already expression of the present European Green Party in the European Parliament. 2014 European Parliament Election In Italy
The 2014 European Parliament election in Italy took place on 25 May 2014. Italy elected 73 MEPs out of 751 European Parliament seats. The governing Democratic Party (PD) won the election with 40.8% of the vote and 31 seats, followed by the Five Star Movement (21.2% and 17 seats) and Forza Italia (16.8% and 13 seats). As a result, the PD was the second largest national party in the European Parliament by number of seats after the German CDU/CSU and the largest among the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats. The PD's score was also the best result for an Italian party in a nationwide election since the 1958 general election, when the Christian Democracy won 42.4% of the vote. The 2017 Sicilian regional election for the renewal of the Sicilian Regional Assembly and the election of the President of Sicily was held on 5 November 2017. ''Diventerà Bellissima'' (lit. " icilyWill Become Very Beautiful") is a regionalist and conservative political party active in Sicily, Italy. The party is led by Nello Musumeci, the President of Sicily, who is also affiliated to Brothers of Italy. The party's name was inspired by a statement about Sicily of Paolo Borsellino, an Italian judge and prosecuting magistrate killed by the Mafia in 1992. The Radical Party ( it, Partito Radicale, PR) was a liberal and libertarian political party in Italy. For decades, the Radical Party was a bastion of anti-clericalism, civil libertarianism, feminism, liberalism and radicalism in Italy as well as environmentalism.
