Green Bay High School, Auckland
Green Bay High School is a co-educational secondary school in the West Auckland suburb of Green Bay, New Zealand, catering for students from Year 9 to Year 13. The school primarily serves the communities of Green Bay and Titirangi. History The school opened in 1973. The founding principal of the school, Des Mann, challenged many of the standard educational practices of the 1970s. He refused to allow students to be caned, did not enforce a school uniform, and did not stream pupils into academic and non-academic classes. The school has since adopted a uniform, and began awarding prizes. In 1978, Green Bay High School opened Kākāriki Marae, the first marae built on high school grounds, after lobbying by Pat Heremaia, the head of Māori Language studies at Green Bay. Heremaia presented a paper in 1984 to the Māori Educational Development Conference, discussing the success of Kākāriki Marae, which was one of the factors which led to marae becoming common in New Zealand schools ...

Green Bay East High School is a public high school in the Green Bay Area Public School District serving the near-east side of Green Bay, Wisconsin and parts of Bellevue and Allouez. Founded in 1856, the school has occupied its current building since 1924. History The institution that would become East High School began in 1856 with the construction of Green Bay's Sale School (nicknamed "Old Brick") on land donated to the city by fur trader John Jacob Astor. Sale was the first school built by the Green Bay Area Public School District. The school traces its formal beginnings (celebrating a sesquicentennial in 2011) to a Professor Furber, who added Latin and mathematics to the grade school curriculum in 1860. The first class to receive diplomas, consisting of four men and two women, was the class of 1875. Green Bay Southwest High School is one of four public high schools located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Southwest High School is located at 1331 Packerland Drive. Its school colors are royal blue and silver, and their mascot is the Trojan. Academics Nearly half of Southwest's class of 2011 attended accredited four-year colleges (49%). The school offered 14 Advanced Placement courses in 2007, with 220 AP tests taken in May 2007. Overall, 31% of students participated in AP Exams in 2016. Southwest has partnered with NWTC to provide a number of Technical classes at the High School. Southwest High School was ranked #13 in Wisconsin as the best overall school by Newsweek 2013. The school made the Top 20 four years running. A collaboration with NWTC in 2012 to provide credited courses in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) provides students hands on coursework in blueprint reading; welding, and robotics. Green Bay West High School
Green Bay West High School is a high school in Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States, serving the city's west side. Originally founded in 1890 as the high school for the town of Fort Howard (annexed into Green Bay in 1895), the school opened as West High School in 1910 and has occupied its current building since 1929. History The institution that would become West High School opened in 1890 as the McCartney School, in what then was the neighboring town of Fort Howard. With the annexation of Fort Howard into Green Bay in 1895, the two school districts merged, though the McCartney School (known as Old West High) would continue to operate until 1910, when West High School formally opened. The McCartney School later took on west-side 8th graders, becoming a precursor junior high school. West High School received a new building in 1926, and has occupied that building since.
