Greaves Cotton Ltd. is an Indian engineering company that manufactures engines and heavy equipment. It is traded on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). History The company was founded in 1859 by James Greaves and George Cotton. It was incorporated in 1922 as a private limited company. Nagesh (born Cheyur Krishnarao Nageshwaran; (27 September 1933 – 31 January 2009) was an Indian actor, mostly remembered for his roles as a comedian in Tamil films during the 1960s. BSE Limited, also known as the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), is an Indian stock exchange. It is located on Dalal Street in Mumbai. Karam Chand Thapar (1900–1962) was the founder of the Thapar Group of companies. He was originally from Punjab. He started his career in 1920 as a coal trader in Calcutta, and built up the family fortune through Karam Chand Thapar and Bros. He then started JCT Limited which is into textiles as well as molasses and alcohol.
