Shooting At The 2015 European Games
Shooting competitions at the 2015 European Games in Baku were held from 13 to 19 June 2015 at the Baku Shooting centre. Nineteen events were in the program with 330 athletes participating. The programme featured several non-Olympic Mixed team events. The winners of the fifteen Olympic events automatically qualified to the 2016 Summer Olympics. Qualification The bulk (295 from 330) of qualification quota places were awarded based on European rankings as of 31 December 2014. The quota places were for athletes who were among: - 33 top-ranked in Men's Trap and Skeet; - 30 top-ranked in all individual Pistol and Rifle events of either gender; - 18 top-ranked in Women's Trap and Skeet, and Men's Double Trap. The maximum number of athletes per country was 2 in each event. Cameron Kurle
Cameron Roland Kurle (born 19 July 1997) is a British swimmer. He has won a gold and two silvers as a junior at the 2015 European Games. As a senior, he won a silver medal in freestyle relay in the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Personal Kurle attended Millfield School. Career At the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan, he won a gold in the men's 4x100m freestyle relay, and two silvers: in the men's 200m freestyle, and 4x200m freestyle relays. He competed in the men's 200 metre freestyle event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games held at the Gold Coast, Australia, Kurle won two silvers as part of the team that finished second in the Men's 4x100m and 4x200m freestyle events. He swam in the final of the 4x200m but only in the heats of the 4x100m. Speers took up freestyle as his main event shortly after joining Poole Swimming club. Head coach Robin Armayan, worked extensively on Speers' freestyle technique. In September 2013, Speers joined Millfield School where he was coached by Euan Dale and Jol Finck. Swimming At The 2015 European Games
The swimming events at the 2015 European Games took place at the Baku Aquatics Centre, Baku from 23 to 27 June 2015. 42 events were contested in long course conditions. Swimming was not included in the earliest list of sports confirmed for the 2015 Games, as the European swimming authorities at that stage were minded not to take part. However, following negotiations with the organising authorities, a compromise was reached whereby, in 2015, these events were for junior swimmers only - in effect, under 18 for men, under 16 for women. In effect, therefore, the swimming portion of the 2015 European Games doubled as the 2015 European Junior Swimming Championships.
