Great Basin Brewing Co. is a brewery headquartered in Sparks, Nevada. It is Nevada's largest and oldest currently operating brewery—though not the state's longest operated. Great Basin Beer, beers are available as beer bottle, bottled draught beer at over 400 locations in Northern Nevada and the surrounding regions, including Aces Ballpark. It also serves beer at special events, such as the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off and The Great Reno Balloon Race. The Great Reno Balloon Race
The Great Reno Balloon Race (GRBR) is a hot-air balloon race held annually in September at Reno, Nevada. The event is held at the Rancho San Rafael Park, west of the University of Nevada, Reno. The event is free to the public and completed its 35th year in 2016. Part of the mission statement of the race is to celebrate the joy of flight. The Coordination of the race is handled by two bodies. The Great Reno Balloon Race is staffed by paid workers to handle the operations at the event, as well as volunteers to set up and maintain the grounds. The Great Reno Balloon Race is the largest free hot-air ballooning event in the country, and is held the first weekend after Labor Day each September at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park in Reno, Nevada. Cascade is one of the many cultivars of hops. Cascade hops are one of the most widely used hops by craft breweries in the United States. Cascade was the most widely planted hop by growers in the US for many years, before being surpassed by Citra hops in 2018. History Cascade is a cultivar of hops developed in the USDA breeding program at Oregon State University by Dr. Stanley Nelson Brooks and Jack Horner. Developed during the 1960s, it was released as an American aroma variety in 1971.
