Gračanica, Bosnia And Herzegovina
Gračanica is a city located in Tuzla Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, east of Doboj and west of Tuzla. As of 2013, it has a population of 45,220 inhabitants. Gračanica Gračanica is located in the lower valley of the River Sokoluša along the main road from Tuzla to Doboj, about 50 km west of Tuzla. Settlements History First writings about Gračanica were found in Turkish archives from 1528, in which Gračanica was known by its iron mine. Some away from the town was a middle age fortress named Sokol. Gračanica got the status of a town in 1548. Gračanica Lake
Badovc Lake or Badovac Lake ( sq, Liqeni i Badovcit, sr-cyr, Грачаничко језеро or Бадовачко језеро) is an artificial reservoirs on the river Graçanka two kilometers above Graçanica, Kosovo, built in 1963–1966 in order to supply city of Prishtina with water. The dam height of 52 m, a width of 246 m, was built in Badovac ravine below Androvac mountains, near the mine "Rainwater". When it is full, the lake is long and up to wide, maximum depth is 30 m, a total volume of 26 million cubic meters of water. The lake has a catchment area of . In February 2014, water levels were threatened, due to a very dry winter. During its construction displaced the Kosovan village of Novosellë, in Gaza waters of the lake, and Badovc, below the dam.
