Graz-Umgebung District
Bezirk Graz-Umgebung is a district of the state of Styria in Austria. Districts Of Austria
A district (german: Bezirk) is a second-level division of the executive arm of the Austrian government. District offices are the primary point of contact between resident and state for most acts of government that exceed municipal purview: marriage licenses, driver licenses, passports, assembly permits, hunting permits, or dealings with public health officers for example all involve interaction with the district administrative authority (). Gratwein-Straßengel
Since 2015 Gratwein-Straßengel is a market town in the Graz-Umgebung District of Styria, Austria. The town took effect as part of the Styria municipal structural reform, from the end of 2014 with the merging of the former municipalities Gratwein, Judendorf-Straßengel, Eisbach and Gschnaidt. The merger made the market town population to be the 6th-largest in Styria. A petition by the mayor of Eisbach, to the constitutional court, against the merger was not successful. Likewise a petition from the town Gschnaidt was not successful. Geography Municipality layout The town lies to the west (right) bank of the Mur River, about northwest of the Styrian capital Graz. The section Rein, with its famous Stift, is the seat of a Bundesgymnasium. Raaba-Grambach
Raaba-Grambach is a market town in the district Graz-Umgebung in Styria, Austria since 2015. It was created as part of the Steiermärkische Gemeindestrukturreform of Styria at the end of 2014, dissolving the towns Raaba and Grambach. One complaint from both communities against merging was raised at the Constitutional Court but ended unsuccessfully. Geography Location The municipality is located on the southeastern outskirts of the provincial capital of Graz, in eastern Styria's hill country and is part of the Graz Basin. Premstätten
Premstätten is since January 2016 a new market town with 5,784 residents (as of 1 January 2016) in Graz-Umgebung District of Styria, Austria. However, it was previously founded in January 2015 as the town name "''Unterpremstätten-Zettling''". The municipality was founded as part of the Styria municipal structural reform, on 31 December 2014, from the dissolved independent municipalities Unterpremstätten and Zettling. One petition from the municipality Zettling against merging, at the Constitutional Court, was introduced but was unsuccessful. After a corresponding municipal council, the municipality carries since 2016 the name "Premstätten". Laßnitzhöhe is a municipality with 2,718 inhabitants (on 1 January 2016) in the district of Graz-Umgebung in Styria, Austria. ''Laßnitz'' means ''brook in the forest'' and refers to the local river Laßnitz. Geography General and location ''Laßnitzhöhe'', located 10 km east of Graz, is a settlement on top of the elongated hummock named Schemmerlrücken.
