Gravvik Church
Gravvik Church ( no, Gravvik kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Nærøysund municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Gravvik. It is one of the churches for the Nærøy parish which is part of the Namdal prosti ( deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1875 using plans drawn up by the architect Knut Grudt Laugen. The church seats about 290 people. History Permission to build a church in Gravvik (formerly in Leka Municipality, now in Nærøysund municipality) was granted by a royal decree on 11 October 1866. It took a few years, however, to get the church built, partly because the main Leka Church had to be rebuilt after a fire at the same time and that job was prioritized over the new Gravvik Church. Nærøysund
Nærøysund is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Namdalen. The municipality was established on 1 January 2020 after the merger of the old municipalities of Vikna and Nærøy. The municipality is unique in that it has two equal administrative centre: Kolvereid and Rørvik. The other main population centres of Nærøysund include Abelvær, Foldereid, Gravvik, Ottersøy, Salsbruket, Steine, Torstad, Austafjord, Garstad, and Valøya. This list of churches in Nidaros is a list of the Church of Norway churches in the Diocese of Nidaros which covers all of Trøndelag county in Norway. The list is divided into several sections, one for each deanery in the diocese. Administratively within each deanery, the churches are divided by municipalities which have their own church council and then into parishes which have their own councils . Each parish may have one or more congregations in it. The municipality of Trondheim includes several deaneries within the municipality due to its large population. Historically, the diocese has had many deaneries, but the number of deaneries has been reduced in recent years. Leka Church ( no, Leka kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Leka municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Leknes on the island of Leka. It is the church for the Leka parish which is part of the Namdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. Leka is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the Namdalen region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Leknes on the island of Leka. Other villages in Leka include Sør-Gutvika and Madsøygrenda.
