Grapevine High School is a public high school located in the far northeast portion of Tarrant County in the city of Grapevine, Texas (USA). It is part of the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District. Its attendance boundary includes sections of Grapevine, Colleyville, Hurst, and Southlake. In 2005, Grapevine was ranked #100 of the top 100 high schools in the United States of America by ''Newsweek'' magazine, and was named a 1999–2000 National Blue Ribbon School. Students come from Cross Timbers Middle School, other portions of Colleyville Middle School and portion of Grapevine Middle School. Although Grapevine High School is in Grapevine, only half of the student body lives in Grapevine. The other half lives in Colleyville. Grapevine is a city and suburb of Dallas and Fort Worth located in northeast Tarrant County, Texas, United States, with minor portions extending into Dallas County and Denton County. The city is located in the Mid-Cities suburban region between Dallas and Fort Worth and includes a larger portion of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport than other cities. The city is adjacent to Grapevine Lake, a large reservoir impounded by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1952 that serves as a source of water and recreational area. The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program is a United States Department of Education award program that recognizes exemplary public and non-public schools on a yearly basis. Nick Leckey
Nicholas Nathan Leckey (born March 12, 1982) is a former American football center who played in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played college football at Kansas State University. Leckey played for the New Orleans Saints, St. Louis Rams and the Arizona Cardinals. Colt Justin David (born November 26, 1985) is a former American football placekicker who played one season with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Louisiana State University and attended Grapevine High School in Grapevine, Texas. The ''Fort Worth Star-Telegram'' is an American daily newspaper serving Fort Worth and Tarrant County, the western half of the North Texas area known as the Metroplex. Alan Bowman (born March 6, 2000) is an American football quarterback for Oklahoma State. He previously played for Texas Tech from 2018 through 2020, and for Michigan in 2021 and 2022.
