Grapevine (TV Series)
''Grapevine'' is an American sitcom created by David Frankel, premiered as a six-episode summer series on CBS from June 15 to July 27, 1992. It was not renewed. A revival of the series, with a different cast, premiered on CBS in February 2000, lasting five episodes. 1992 version Summary David owned a restaurant in Miami Beach on Ocean Drive. His girlfriend Susan worked for a cruise line. His brother Thumper was a sportscaster. The series was a 1990s take on ''Love, American Style'' in its couple-of-the-week format. Each episode presented the story of a couple, as told through short scenes interwoven with the regular characters, the couple, friends, associates talking to the camera about the couple as if speaking to an unseen interviewer. Editing allowed for jokes to be set up by one "interview" with the punch line delivered by another character, sometimes completely unrelated. David Frankel
David Frankel (born April 2, 1959) is an American filmmaker. Most known as the director of 2006 film, '' The Devil Wears Prada'', he is an executive producer and the director of the first and fourth episodes of the Netflix miniseries ''Inventing Anna'' (2022). Biography Frankel was born to a Jewish family in New York City. He is the son of Tobia Simone (née Brown) and Max Frankel, a former executive editor of ''The New York Times'' and columnist. He won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film for his 1996 short film '' Dear Diary'' and an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for the pilot episode of ''Entourage'' (2004), and has since directed the studio films '' The Devil Wears Prada'' (2006), ''Marley & Me'' (2008), and '' Hope Springs'' (2012). David Sutcliffe
David Sutcliffe (born June 8, 1969) is a Canadian-American retired actor. He is known for playing Christopher Hayden on the television series ''Gilmore Girls'' and Detective Aidan Black on the television series ''Cracked''. Early life Sutcliffe was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and raised in Grimsby and St. Catharines, Ontario. He studied English literature at Victoria College in the University of Toronto. He was recruited to play varsity basketball at university, but had to give up the sport when he was diagnosed with a herniated disk. The single-camera setup, or single-camera mode of production, also known as portable single camera, is a method of filmmaking and video production. The single-camera setup originally developed during the birth of the classical Hollywood cinema in the 1910s and has remained the standard mode of production for cinema. In television production, both single-camera and multiple-camera methods are commonly used. Description In this setup, each of the various shots and camera angles are taken using the same camera, or multiple cameras pointed in one direction, which are moved and reset to get each shot or new angle.
