Grant Calcaterra
Grant Calcaterra (born December 4, 1998) is an American football tight end for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oklahoma before transferring to SMU. High school career Calcaterra attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. As a junior, he caught 48 passes for 926 yards and nine touchdowns. He committed to play college football at the University of Oklahoma after his junior season. As a senior, he caught 57 passes for 958 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named to the 2017 Under Armour All-America Game. College career As a freshman at Oklahoma in 2017, Calcaterra played in 14 games and caught ten passes for 162 yards and three touchdowns. The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns.
