Grandview, Manitoba
Grandview is an unincorporated urban community in the Grandview Municipality within the Canadian province of Manitoba that held town status prior to January 1, 2015. It is located 45 kilometres west of the City of Dauphin along the Valley River. The community was named for the picturesque views of both the Duck Mountains to the north and the Riding Mountains to the south. The main access to the community is Provincial Highway 5. Grandview railway station is served by Via Rail. The local economy is agriculturally and service industry based. However, at one time a thriving economy was also based on a local wood mill. Manitoba Provincial Highway 5
Provincial Trunk Highway 5 (PTH 5) is a provincial primary highway located in the Canadian province of Manitoba. The highway starts at the Hansboro–Cartwright Border Crossing on the Canada–United States border and ends at the Saskatchewan boundary west of Roblin. Besides Roblin, it passes through the communities of Cartwright, Glenboro, Carberry, Neepawa, McCreary, Ste. Rose Du Lac, Grandview, and Gilbert Plains along its route. The highway, in a section concurrent with PTH 10, bypasses the City of Dauphin. (PTH 5A / 10A does run through Dauphin.) The segment of PTH 5 between PTH 10 and Ste. The 2021 Canadian census was a detailed enumeration of the Canadian population with a reference date of May 11, 2021. It follows the 2016 Canadian census, which recorded a population of 35,151,728. Riding Mountain National Park is a national park in Manitoba, Canada. The park is located within Treaty 2 Territory and sits atop the Manitoba Escarpment. Duck Mountain Provincial Park is a 1,424 square kilometre provincial park in western Manitoba. The park is located within the larger and similarly named Duck Mountain Provincial Forest.
