Grand Sierra Railroad
The Grand Sierra Railroad is a 2 ft miniature steam locomotive themed Peanuts train ride located in the Camp Snoopy area of Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. The four minute train ride transport guests on a journey around reflection lake and the surround camp snoopy and Fiesta Village. The ride opened in the 1983 season as part of the opening of Camp Snoopy. The train ride was previously longer prior to the opening of Silver Bullet (Knott's Berry Farm), Silver Bullet. When Silver Bullet opened on December 7, 2004, the track layout of the Grand Sierra Railroad was shortened in the Reflection Lake area. In 2014, the ride underwent a refurbishment in cooperation with Garner Holt, Garner Holt Productions and opened with small animatronic and figures from the Peanuts characters as part of Camp Snoopy's 30th anniversary. Buena Park (''Buena'', Spanish for "Good") is a city in Orange County, California, United States. As of the 2020 census its population was 84,034. It is the location of several tourist attractions, namely Knott's Berry Farm. It is about 12 miles (20 km) northwest of downtown Santa Ana, the county seat, and is within the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Silver Bullet (Knott's Berry Farm)
Silver Bullet is a western-themed steel inverted roller coaster designed by Bolliger & Mabillard located at Knott's Berry Farm, an amusement park in Buena Park, California. The $16 million roller coaster was announced on December 1, 2003 and opened on December 7, 2004. A first rider auction was also held where people would bid on seats to be the first riders. The track is approximately long and the lift hill is about tall. The ride lasts two minutes and thirty seconds and features six inversions including a vertical loop, cobra roll, zero-g roll, and two corkscrews. Garner Holt
Garner L. Holt is the founder and president of Garner Holt Productions, Inc., the world’s largest animatronics company. Garner Holt Productions was founded in 1977 and designs and manufactures animatronic figures for entertainment locations, including Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and the MGM Grand Las Vegas. Their best known figures include the 45-foot dragon at Disneyland’s Fantasmic! show, and the singing characters at Chuck E. Cheese. Sierra Sidewinder
Sierra Sidewinder is a steel spinning roller coaster located in the Camp Snoopy section of Knott's Berry Farm. It was the first spinning roller coaster in the United States to feature trains with multiple spinning cars, rather than an individual spinning car, like those found on a Reverchon or Zamperla Twister Coaster. The ride was also one of the first roller coasters to feature on-ride video recordings, as opposed to the traditional still on-ride photograph.
