The total area is 42.78 km². Effective 1 January 2019, Neerpelt and Overpelt were merged into the new municipality of Pelt. Culture Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof is the cultural center of Neerpelt. This institute houses several smaller organisations: * Musica: Impulse Center for music, and manager of het Klankenbos (the sound forest) on the Dommelhof site * Zebracinema: arthouse cinema in Belgian Limburg * Circus Center: Flemish anchor point for circus art * Jazzcase: Northern Limburg jazz platform The Klankenbos is the biggest sound art collection in public space in Europe. Nikki Brammeier
Nikki Louise Brammeier (née Harris; born 30 December 1986) is an English former professional racing cyclist from Draycott, Derbyshire. She began cycling at five and has won championships in various disciplines. Brammeier has competed in international events including the UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics and the Commonwealth Games. She won her first UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup in 2015 at Cyclo-cross Namur. In November 2017 Brammeier announced that she would be leaving the team at the end of the year in order to focus solely on cyclo-cross. The following month she and her husband Matt Brammeier announced the establishment of the MUDIIITA cyclo-cross project, intended to encourage participation in the sport in the UK, including a professional team known as MUDIIITA–Canyon. Denise Betsema (born 23 January 1993) is a Dutch cyclo-cross cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Cyclo-cross team . Career In October 2018 Betsema joined the professional cyclo-cross team . In the season 2018–2019 she won the crosses at Poprad, Neerpelt, Aigle, Hittnau, Lutterbach, Wachtebeke, Koksijde, Eschenbach, Antwerpen, Otegem, Maldegem, Middelkerke, Hulst, Leuven and Oostmalle.
