Grand Muveran
The Grand Muveran is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, located on the border between the cantons of Vaud and Valais. At 3,051 metres, it is the highest summit of the group lying between the Rhone knee and the Pas de Cheville and the westernmost three-thousander of the Bernese Alps. The closest localities are Les Plans-sur-Bex (municipality of Bex, Vaud) and Ovronnaz (Valais). It is accompanied by the smaller peak of Petit Muveran. Overlooking the Rhone valley from a height of about 2,600 metres, the Grand Muveran is the high point of a group (referred to as the ''Muverans'') composed of several summits approaching 3,000 metres, including to the southwest the Dent de Morcles and the Dent Favre, and to the northeast the Tête à Pierre Grept and the Haut de Cry. Fully () is a municipality in the district of Martigny in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. History Fully is first mentioned in the 11th Century as ''Fuliacum''. Geography Fully has an area, , of . Of this area, 30.5% is used for agricultural purposes, while 27.7% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 5.7% is settled (buildings or roads) and 36.2% is unproductive land. It is on the right bank of the river Rhône and is well known for its wines. Fully is just the administrative name of a group of several villages of Vers-l'Eglise (sometimes called Fully), Branson, Châtaignier and Randonnaz along with a number of hamlets. Martigny (; german: Martinach, ; la, Octodurum) is the capital city of the district of Martigny, canton of Valais, Switzerland. It lies at an elevation of , and its population is approximately 15000 inhabitants (''Martignerains'' or "Octoduriens"). It is a junction of roads joining Italy, France and Switzerland. Dent De Morcles
The Dent de Morcles is a 2,969 metres high mountain located at western end of the Bernese Alps, overlooking the Rhone between Martigny and St. Maurice. It is the westernmost summit of the Muverans massif, which in turn is the westernmost of the four distinct mountain massifs of the Bernese Alps that lie west of the Gemmi Pass. Its position at the end of this chain of mountains and the abrupt drop to the wide valley of the Rhone river below make the Dent de Morcles prominently visible from many points in Lausanne and other populated areas on the north and northeastern shores of Lake Geneva.
