ITV Digital Channels Ltd
ITV Digital Channels Limited (formerly known as Granada Sky Broadcasting) is a subsidiary, wholly owned subsidiary of British broadcaster ITV plc. It manages all of the company's television channels with the exception of ITV (TV channel), ITV, which is part of the ITV (TV network), entire network. It was set up in 1996 and operated until 2004 as a joint venture between Granada plc and Sky UK, British Sky Broadcasting to launch a range of television channels broadcasting the ITV Granada, Granada and London Weekend Television, LWT archives on the Sky satellite television, satellite platform, as well as other digital platforms such as ITV Digital (closed on 1 May 2002), NTL Incorporated, NTL and Telewest (both later merged to form Virgin Media). Death Of Diana, Princess Of Wales
In the early hours of 31 August 1997, Diana, Princess of Wales died from injuries sustained earlier that day in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris, France. Dodi Fayed, Diana's partner, and Henri Paul, their chauffeur, were found dead inside the car. Her bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones was seriously injured but was the only survivor of the crash. Some media claimed that the erratic behaviour of the paparazzi chasing the car, as reported by the BBC, had contributed to the crash. In 1999, a French investigation found that Paul lost control of the vehicle at high speed while intoxicated by alcohol and under the effects of prescription drugs, and concluded that he was solely responsible for the crash. Rob Burley (born 1969) is an English television producer, formerly the BBC's editor of live political programmes. ITV Granada, formerly known as Granada Television, is the ITV franchisee for the North West of England and Isle of Man. Graham William Walker (born 4 April 1963), better known by his stage name Graham Norton, is an Irish actor, author, comedian, commentator, and presenter.
