Gramoz Ruçi
Gramoz Ruçi (born 6 December 1951) is an Albanian former politician, served as the head of the parliamentarian group of the ruling Socialist Party of Albania until 2017. In September 2017, he assumed the office of the Chairman of the Parliament of Albania for the new parliamentary session. Early life Ruçi was born in Salari, a village in Tepelenë District, southern Albania. He graduated in Chemistry and worked as a teacher in Progonat Progonat is a village in the former Kurvelesh municipality, Gjirokastër County, Albania. The Parliament of Albania () or Kuvendi is the unicameral representative body of the citizens of the Republic of Albania; it is Albania's legislature. The Parliament is composed of no less than 140 members elected to a four-year term on the basis of direct, universal, periodic and equal suffrage by secret ballot. The Parliament is presided over by the Speaker, who is assisted by at least one deputy speaker. The electoral system is based on party-list proportional representation.
