Graham Killeen
Graham Killeen (born 1980) is an American independent filmmaker. He is best known as the writer-director of ''Six Bullets'', a short film that premiered at the NYC Downtown Film Festival in 2007. He won the Shepherd Express Best of Milwaukee 2006 award for "Best Milwaukee Filmmaker". Currently he is working on a feature-length drama titled '' Three Fifty-Five'' for the film company Signal Fire Films. Killeen was raised in Newburg and West Bend, Wisconsin. West Bend is the county seat of Washington County, Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 31,752. History Early history and settlement Northeastern Washington County's earliest known inhabitants were pre-Columbian Mound Builders, who constructed effigy mounds in the area sometime between 650 CE and 1300 CE. They were semi-nomadic and survived by hunting, fishing, and gathering wild plants. They made pottery and constructed tools from bone, wood, stone, and occasionally copper. They built effigy mounds shaped like mammals, reptiles, birds and other creatures, both real and mythical, as well as conical, oval, and linear mounds, some of which contain human burials. Newburg is a village in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, Ozaukee and Washington County, Wisconsin, Washington counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 1,254 at the 2010 census. Of this, 1,157 were in Washington County, and only 97 were in Ozaukee County. Geography Newburg is located at (43.431440, -88.047631) on the Milwaukee River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of , all of it land. History Like many of the cities and villages on the Milwaukee River, Newburg formed around a hydropowered mill. In 1848, village founder Barton Salisbury built a dam on the river to power his feed and saw mills. While Salisbury died in a construction accident in 1849, one mill operated until 1903; the other closed in 1939.
