Graham House (cricketer)
Graham Warwick Charles House (born 4 September 1950) is a former Australian cricketer who played domestically for both Western Australia and South Australia during the early 1970s. Born in Busselton, a mid-sized town in the south-west region of Western Australia, House was a talented schoolboy cricketer, captaining a representative Australian Schools team on a tour to India during the 1966–67 season. He made his debut at state level during the 1972–73 season, having previously also played for a Western Australia Country team against the touring English cricket team. House made his first-class debut in that season's Sheffield Shield, in a match against Victoria at the WACA Ground. A leg-spinner and competent lower-order batsman, he and Paul Nicholls worked in tandem as Western Australia's spinners during the match. Graham Yallop
Graham Neil Yallop (born 7 October 1952) is a former Australian international cricketer. Yallop played Test and One Day International cricket for the Australia national cricket team between 1976 and 1984, captaining the side briefly during the World Series Cricket era in the late 1970s. A technically correct left-handed batsman, Yallop played domestically for Victoria, invariably batting near the top of the order and led Victoria to two Sheffield Shield titles. He was the first player to wear a full helmet in a Test match. Early life Yallop was born at Balwyn, Victoria in 1952 and played for Richmond age-group sides in the Dowling Shield during the late 1960s. Northern Territory Cricket, formally the Northern Territory Cricket Association, is the governing body for cricket in the Northern Territory of Australia. Best And Fairest
In Australian sport, the best and fairest award recognises the player(s) adjudged to have had the best performance in a game or over a season for a given sporting club or competition. The awards are sometimes dependent on not receiving a suspension for misconduct or breaching the rules during that season. In the Australian Football League (AFL), the Brownlow Medal is awarded to the player who, provided he has not been suspended during the season, receives the most votes from the umpires for being the Fairest and Best player in games during the home and away season. In each game, the umpires award three votes to the player they judge to be the best afield in that game, two votes to the second-best player and one vote to the third-best player. South West Football League
The South West Football League is an Australian rules football league based in the south-west of Western Australia. The league is affiliated to the West Australian Country Football League. History The idea of creating a larger league was discussed early in 1951. The idea that three clubs from the Collie Football Association and the three clubs from the Bunbury Football association would invigorate public interest in the South West region on the state. Talks continued into 1952 and it was finally agreed to trial a competition with all the two associations clubs for a two-year period. The associations administrations would remain separate. Mike Denness captained the English cricket team in Australia in 1974–75, playing as England in the 1974-75 Ashes series against the Australians and as the MCC in their other matches on the tour. Bob Paulsen
Robert George Paulsen (born 18 October 1947) is a former Australian cricketer who played first-class cricket from 1966 to 1978. First-class career Paulsen was educated at Anglican Church Grammar School in East Brisbane. A leg-spinner, he made his first-class debut for Queensland in 1966–67 at the age of 19 and took 31 wickets at an average of 31.61, including 7 for 73 in the second innings against South Australia in Brisbane. He was considered a contender for the 1968 tour of England, but his form in the 1967–68 season was not quite sufficient to justify his selection. He took 22 wickets at 39.40. He took 25 wickets in 1968–69, and 24 in 1969–70, but after that his form declined, and he lost his place in the Queensland team to Malcolm Francke.
