Graham High School is a high school located in Graham, North Carolina. About Graham High School is a comprehensive, four-year high school serving the city of Graham. It is one of six traditional high schools in the Alamance-Burlington School System. Graham High School is accredited by The Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the North Carolina State Department of Public Instruction. Student enrollment in grades 9–12 is approximately 830. The mascot is the Red Devils. Bear Bryant is the principal and has served as principal since 2019. Kyle Ward is the athletic director. Graham High School is located at 903 Trollinger Road. It opened its doors in the fall of 1968. The building was formerly known as Central High School from 1961 to 1968. Graham, North Carolina
Graham is a city in Alamance County, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Burlington, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census the population was 17,153. It is the county seat of Alamance County. History Graham was laid out in 1849 as the county seat of the newly formed Alamance County, and was incorporated as a town in 1851; it became a city in 1961. It was named for William Alexander Graham, U.S. senator from North Carolina (1840–1843) and governor of North Carolina (1845–1849). The lynching of Wyatt Outlaw, the first African-American Town Commissioner and Constable of Graham, on February 26, 1870, by the Ku Klux Klan, along with the assassination of State Senator John W. Jane Gibson Albright (born May 26, 1955) is an American women's college basketball coach who was most recently head coach at Nevada from 2008 to 2017. Albright was previously head coach at Northern Illinois from 1984 to 1994, Wisconsin from 1994 to 2003, and Wichita State from 2003 to 2008. Jim Holt (baseball)
James William Holt (May 27, 1944 – March 29, 2019) was an American professional baseball outfielder and first baseman. Career He graduated from Graham High School (North Carolina), also known as Graham Colored High School, and was drafted by the Kansas City Athletics in 1965. He was also drafted by the U.S. and his subsequent service in Vietnam delayed the start of his professional baseball career. He made his major league debut on April 17, 1968 and played his last game on October 3, 1976. On the Arizona Instructional League team in 1967, Holt batted a team-best .367 on the Athletics' affiliated squad that also included Vida Blue, Bert Campaneris, Rollie Fingers, and Reggie Jackson.
