Graham Charles Evans (born 22 January 1943) is a former senior Australian public servant and policymaker. Background and early life Evans was born on 22 January 1943. He attended high school at St Patrick's College, Ballarat. His university studies were at University of Melbourne, Australian National University and Johns Hopkins University. Career From 1968 to 1981, Evans held positions in overseas postings. His early public service career saw him variously working in positions in the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Treasury and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Evans was appointed to his first Secretary role in 1986, as head of the Department of Resources and Energy (later Department of Primary Industries and Energy). The Federal Court of Australia is an Australian superior court of record which has jurisdiction to deal with most civil disputes governed by federal law (with the exception of family law matters), along with some summary (less serious) and indictable (more serious) criminal matters. Alan John Woods (30 March 1930 – 13 January 1990) was a senior Australian public servant. Life and career Woods was born in Woonona, New South Wales on 30 March 1930 to parents Oswald and Gladys May Woods. After attending St Joseph's College, Hunters Hill on a scholarship, he obtained a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney in 1955 while working as an executive trainee for Dunlop Rubber Australia Ltd. Woods began his Commonwealth Public Sector career at the Commonwealth Public Service Board in Sydney in 1955. He moved to Canberra in 1957, taking a research officer post in the Department of Territories. Peter Stephen Wilenski, (10 May 1939 – 3 November 1994) was a senior Australian public servant and ambassador. He was a champion of women's rights and equal opportunity. Early life Peter Wilenski was born in Łódź, Poland on 10 May 1939. He came to Australia in 1943 as a Jewish refugee, due to World War II conflict and persecution of Jewish people in his home country.
