Graciano Rocchigiani
Graciano Rocchigiani (29 December 1963 – 1 October 2018) was a German professional boxer who competed from 1983 to 2003. He held world championships in two weight classes, including the IBF super-middleweight title from 1988 to 1989, and the WBC light-heavyweight title in 1998. At regional level he held the European light-heavyweight title from 1991 to 1992. Professional career Rocchigiani turned professional in 1983 after a successful amateur career in which he won the 1982 German National Amateur championship in the light-middleweight division. In 1988 he captured the vacant IBF super-middleweight title by stopping Vincent Boulware, and defended the title three times before vacating to step up to the light-heavyweight division. Thomas Ulrich
Thomas Ulrich (born 11 July 1975, in Berlin) is a German former professional boxer who competed from 1997 to 2012. He challenged twice for a light-heavyweight world title: the WBC title in 2005, and the WBO/ lineal titles in 2006. He also held the European light-heavyweight title three times from 2002 to 2008. Ralf Rocchigiani (born 13 February 1963) is a boxer from Duisburg-Hamborn in Germany. He was often overlooked due to his more talented and successful younger brother, Graciano Rocchigiani. He became a professional boxer in 1983 and won the German Cruiserweight championship in 1985. He failed in two attempts to win the European Boxing Union Light Heavyweight championships. He also failed to take the WBO Cruiserweight championship from Tyrone Booze in 1992. He finally won the WBO Cruiserweight championship on June 10, 1995, and held it for more than two years. He won the vacant title by scoring a technical knockout over Carl Thompson and defended it six times. He lost the title in a rematch with Thompson in 1997 and retired from boxing in 1999. Lineal Championship
In combat sports where champions are decided by a challenge, the lineal championship of a weight class is a world championship title held initially by an undisputed champion and subsequently by a fighter who defeats the reigning champion in a match at that weight class. In professional boxing, the lineal champion is informally called "the man who beat the man". A break in the direct continuity of a lineal championship can occur when a reigning champion retires or moves to another weight class. Opinions conflict as to what to do when such a breach of continuity occurs.
