Grace Morrison
Grace Morrison (1896 - September 5, 1936) was an American activist secretary and aviator. Morrison was the namesake for Morrison Field, which later expanded into Palm Beach International Airport. Morrison had led the movement to construct the air field. It was named for her before the US Army Air Corps took over it. Morrison learned to fly in 1932 and was the first female pilot to solo in Palm Beach County, Florida Palm Beach County is a county located in the southeastern part of Florida and lies directly north of Broward County and Miami-Dade County. The county had a population of 1,492,191 as of the 2020 census, making it the third-most populous county .... United States Army Air Corps
The United States Army Air Corps (USAAC) was the aerial warfare service component of the United States Army between 1926 and 1941.
