Gowongo Mohawk (Go-Won-Go/Go-Wan-Go; August 11, 1860 - February 7, 1924) was a Seneca playwright and actor. She was born in Gowanda, New York, Gowanda, New York,Otis, Melissa (2017). As a child she attended boarding school in Ohio, which she did not enjoy, and later attended university at the University of Ohio.
