Govula Gopanna
''Govula Gopanna'' is a 1968 Indian Telugu-language comedy drama film, produced by Lakshmi Rajyam and Sridhar Rao and directed by C. S. Rao. The film stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Rajasree and Bharathi, with music composed by Ghantasala. It is a remake of the 1966 Kannada film ''Emme Thammanna''. Plot Gopanna is an innocent cowherd. In the same town, Municipal Chairman Nagaraju a vicious, and undertakes a lot of atrocities and anti-social activities. He has two children, a vainglory daughter Tara, and a warm-hearted son Kasthuri. Once, Tara whips Gopanna's cows, in turn, he strikes her. So, Nagaraju sends his men to eliminate him when Kasthuri rescues him and advises Gopanna to meet Advocate Narasimham by changing his attire. Narasimham is a justice-seeking person who always countermoves against Nagaraju and leads a delightful life with his ideal wife Mahalakshmi. Bhamidipati Radhakrishna
Bhamidipati Radhakrishna (14 November 1929 – 4 September 2007) was an Indian playwright and script writer in Telugu cinema. He is the son of ''Hasya Brahma'' Bhamidipati Kameswara Rao. He has written some plays and playlets. His play "Taram - Antaram" was staged at World Telugu Conference, Bangalore. Chalam (actor)
Chalam (born Simhachalam Korada) (18 May 1929 - 4 May 1989) was an Indian film actor, and producer known for his works primarily in Telugu cinema, and Telugu theatre. In 1971 he produced and acted in ''Mattilo Manikyam'' which won the Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 19th National Film Awards. In a film career spanning 30 years, Chalam was starred in about 150 films in a variety of roles. Personal life Chalam married Ramanakumari, and changed his name to Ramana Chalam. They have 3 children. Ramana Kumari died in 1964 in a fire accident. Chalam later married, to Urvasi Sharada, his co-star in her debut film, ''Tandrulu Kodukulu'' in 1972. They later divorced in 1984. Death Chalam died on 4 May 1989. Due to alcohol addication.in his final days he also suffered from depression. Arudra (born Bhagavatula Sadasiva Sankara Sastry; 31 August 1925 – 4 June 1998) was an Indian author, poet, lyricist, translator, publisher, dramatist, playwright, and an expert on Telugu literature. He is also known for his works in Telugu cinema as a lyricist, dialogue writer, and story writer. He received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1987. Srirangam Srinivasa Rao (30 April 1910 – 15 June 1983), popularly known as Sri Sri, was an Indian poet and lyricist who is known for his works in Telugu literature and films. Noted for his anthology '' Maha Prasthanam'', Sri Sri is a recipient of a National Film Award, a Nandi Award and a Sahitya Akademi Award. Suryakantham (28 October 1924 – 18 December 1994) was an Indian actress in Tollywood. She was popular for playing the role of a cruel mother-in-law in most of her movies. Early life Suryakantham was born and brought up in a Telugu Brahmin family residing at Venkata Krishnaraya Puram near Kakinada of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. She was the 14th child to her parents, ten of whose children had died. She learnt dance and singing at the age of six. She married Peddibhotla Chalapati Rao, a High Court Judge, in 1950.
