Governor Of Chernihiv Oblast
The Governor of Chernihiv Oblast is the head of executive branch for the Chernihiv Oblast. The office of Governor is an appointed position, with officeholders being appointed by the President of Ukraine, on recommendation from the Prime Minister of Ukraine. The official residence for the Governor is located in Chernihiv. The current Governor is Viacheslav Chaus, who was appointed on 4 August 2021 by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Nataliia Andriivna Romanova ( uk, Наталія Андріївна Романова; 18 November 1960 – 5 November 2020) was a Ukrainian politician who served as the acting Governor of Chernihiv Oblast in 2019. She was formerly the Chairman of the Chernihiv Oblast Council from 2006 to 2010. She died on 5 November 2020.
